As co-principal of the Homes of Alexandria Team, Ellen Patrick brings over a decade of success helping clients navigate the Alexandria and Arlington real estate markets. 

The Northern Virginia native grew up in Loudoun County with her father, a diplomatic foreign service officer, her mother, a Swiss born tennis player and her younger sister. Ellen earned her Bachelor of Arts in Government & International Politics from the Schar School of Policy and Government at George Mason University before working on Capitol Hill and then non-profit organization Certified Humane. 

After moving to the Del Ray neighborhood of Alexandria in 2008, Ellen joined her mentor Bobi Bomar in real estate in 2010. A distance from her beginnings in public policy, real estate has proven to be very rewarding for Ellen, who loves to help her clients prepare their home for market and make smart improvements to maximize return on their investment. 

In 2019, Ellen was named a “40 Under 40” honoree by the Alexandria Chamber of Commerce as one of the city’s up-and-coming business and community leaders. Ellen loves giving back to the community as much as she can. Ellen’s team supports over thirty local and regional efforts annually including Del Ray Artisans, Stop Child Abuse Now, Alexandria Scholarship Fund and Friends of ROAM.

When she isn’t working, you may catch Ellen browsing at a flea market, taking a group exercise class at the YMCA or at the playground with her daughter Mera. Ellen loves to visit her family in Switzerland and France as much as she can, where she spent much of her childhood. Ellen lives in Del Ray with her husband JP, daughter Mera, mother Muriel and French Bulldog Penny.
